HEB ready to open store in Mansfield, second location in Tarrant County

A Texas grocery giant is preparing to open its new store in Mansfield.

HEB, which recently launched its first Fort Worth store in the Alliance region as part of its expansion into North Texas, will open its second store in Tarrant County at 1670 E. Broad St. in Mansfield in 6 a.m. June 26.

Mansfield Mayor Michael Evans said the community is eagerly awaiting the store’s opening.

“We know that people in our community have been waiting a long time for HEB to come to Mansfield and we are very happy that they no longer have to leave town to shop at their favorite grocer,” Evans said. “HEB has already proven to be a valued community partner and we are fortunate to now have them as part of our exceptional business community.” »

An HEB official said Tarrant County residents responded positively to the opening of the chain’s Alliance location.

“We can’t wait to open the doors to our brand new HEB Mansfield on June 26,” said Mabrie Jackson, HEB’s general manager of public affairs. “We received incredible support and enthusiasm when we opened our Alliance location just a few months ago and we look forward to continuing our expansion in the region, serving even more Texans.”

The grand opening of the Mansfield store, on a 28-acre site, will take place at 1:30 p.m. on June 25, followed by the store opening the following morning.

On June 27, the chain will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a store at the southwest corner of Interstate 30 and South John King Boulevard in Rockwall.

The Mansfield store will be one of the first flagship stores in Tarrant County, according to HEB. The store will feature a full-service pharmacy with a drive-thru, exterior and interior design departments and a True Texas BBQ restaurant, also featuring a drive-thru lane.

The store will also offer HEB curbside and home delivery options allowing customers to place orders online. These items can be picked up in store or delivered to the customer’s home.

The company, which brings in about $32 billion annually, also operates a Central Market store in Fort Worth as well as two other stores nearby, in Burleson and Hudson Oaks.
