Buttonwood Park Zoo offers elephant dung in fundraising auction

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Buttonwood Park Zoo’s Zoolala fundraiser is offering elephant poop as an auction item.

The zoo said “Elephant Gold Garden Booster” is “a supercharged fertilizer packed with essential nutrients that are perfect for enriching soil and promoting robust growth.”

The online auction has been running for four years and offers a wide variety of other items, including an opportunity to meet red pandas, a tour of the veterinary facility and gift cards to local restaurants.

The auction will run until June 27 and will end with a gala.
