Many people have noticed Elon Musk’s newfound love of politics and conspiracy theories, and not everyone can ignore it. Someone left Tesla’s CEO a strong message spray-painted on dozens of Tesla Cybertrucks awaiting delivery at a service center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Tesla fans, however, remained unfazed, demanding that Tesla sell the signed Cybertrucks as a limited edition.

Tesla Cybertruck remained as polarizing as it was long before deliveries began in November 2023. At first, it was the design that, to some, seemed futuristic and, to others, immature. Later, it was because Tesla did not keep its promises, especially in terms of autonomy and price. Even today, some swear that the Cybertruck is the best car ever produced, while others think it’s stupid.

However, the electric pickup truck isn’t going anywhere, especially as Tesla ramps up production. THE VE The automaker aims to reach 2,500 units per week by the end of the year, putting it on track to produce at least 150,000 units in 2025. At this level, Tesla is confident enough to announce that the Foundation Series , too expensive, will soon end its production. This means more people will afford a Cybertruck, although the downside is that waiting times will stretch into years.

In the meantime, Tesla is producing enough Cybertrucks for those willing to pay the Foundation Series’ $20,000 premium. Tesla service centers appear crowded, suggesting Tesla already has a Cybertruck demand problem. However, this is not true, and the numerous Cybertrucks waiting for delivery at service centers were the result of an order to stop sales until Tesla fixes some issues with the Cybertruck.

The biggest was caused by the gigawiper’s electric motor, which for many owners failed prematurely under stress. Tesla replaced the faulty motors, which did not solve the problem because the new parts also broke. Tesla has decided to stop replacing motors until it finds a better solution. This led to a pause in deliveries and a build-up of electric vans at service centers.

The gigawiper motor problem appears to have been solved with a new type of motor, and Tesla is now delivering Cybertrucks in mass. A video shared on social media shows the moment 29 new owners took delivery of their Cybertrucks at the Tesla Center in Marina del Rey, California. However, not everyone got to see their special moment. For dozens of Cybertruck owners scheduled for delivery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the magic moment won’t arrive anytime soon.

That’s because someone painted the trucks with a strong message to Elon Musk. A video shared on Instagram shows the vandals went to great lengths to repaint every Cybertruck in the parking lot. Far from bothering Tesla fans, some of them suggested that the truck be sold at a higher price, like a special edition. I’m not sure what it means for Elon Musk if people are willing to pay extra to have this message written on their truck.
