EastEnders’ Ravi Gulati caught for Ranveer’s murder

EastEnders spoilers follow.

Ravi Gulati has been arrested for Ranveer’s murder in EastEnders.

Earlier this week, Denise discovered the damning CCTV footage that proved Ravi was the one who killed Ranveer Gulati over a year ago. Ravi had manipulated events to make Suki believe she was the killer.

Thursday’s (September 14) episode started on a scary note when Ravi had entered Denise’s house and saw her looking at the CCTV footage.

“You killed that man,” Denise realized.

Ravi broke the laptop in half on his leg, then pushed Denise against the wall, but she managed to escape and warned that he would never get away with what he did.

She fled into the arms of Jack Branning, screaming that Ravi had “killed someone”. She rushed to Ravi’s house since Chelsea has been living there for a short time, to warn her daughter.

Suki Panesar was also in the house and got her own shock when Denise revealed that Ravi was behind Ranveer’s murder all along. A panicked Denise recounted what she had seen in the footage, which was that Suki had knocked Ranveer unconscious while she was being attacked.

“I thought it was dead, but then Ravi came in and smashed it,” Denise relayed frantically.

Ravi entered, acting as if his entire confrontation with Denise had never happened. Denise wasn’t going to let him get away with his lies, as she stunned Suki by remembering how Ravi had choked Ranveer to death.

Denise then pointed at Ravi: “You killed him!”

A confused Chelsea walked out of the house, demanding to be left alone to think. Jack warned Ravi to “back off” and walked out with Denise, leaving Suki alone with Ravi.

Since Ravi had made Suki believe that she had killed Ranveer, he had a lot of explaining to do. He tried to manipulate Suki by saying that Denise was twisting events to break up her relationship with Chelsea.

“Denise saw you kill him, but it’s me she wants to get rid of,” Ravi insisted.

Ravi swore to Suki that the images had been destroyed and no one else would ever see them. Back at Jack’s house, Chelsea had arrived with questions for her mother. We were both perplexed that Suki’s son Kheerat was responsible for Ranverr’s death and was going to prison, but Denise knew what she saw and that meant Ravi was a killer.

Denise comforted her daughter as Chelsea fell apart after falling in love with another dangerous man, following her marriage to killer and attacker Gray Atkins a few years ago.

“It can’t happen again, Mom,” Chelsea cried.

Elsewhere, Suki was consumed with suspicion over Ranveer’s death and discussed with her husband Nish the possibility that she might not have killed him.

“If I didn’t kill him, then Kheerat lost everything for nothing,” Suki pointed out.

Nish tried to dissuade Suki from telling Kheerat the truth, as he thought it was better for Kheerat to believe that he sacrificed himself for his mother rather than for nothing.

“We need to keep this under control,” Nish demanded.

Ravi’s problems continued when Chelsea returned home to break up because she couldn’t trust him anymore.

“It’s over, Ravi,” Chelsea told him.

At No.27, Suki paid a secret visit to Denise to assure her that she believed the allegations but needed to know “exactly” what Denise had seen on the CCTV footage.

The two women are expected to team up next week to try to prove, once and for all, that Ravi was the one who murdered Ranveer.

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on BBC One. The show is also broadcast on BBC iPlayer.
