Four detained with drugs in Hyderabad in three different cases

Special Operation Teams (SOT) from LB Nagar, along with Chaitanyapuri police, arrested a man in possession of 30 grams of heroin. In another case, two grams of MDMA were also seized by the LB Nagar police from two men.

In the first case, Virma Ram, 24, was arrested in possession of heroin near Chaitanyapuri Metro station. “He admitted that he had procured the drug from one Dinesh Kalyan of Rajasthan and received the same from Heera Ram, also of Rajasthan,” the officials said.

In the second case, Jurru Akash, 20, and Mogili Venkatesh, 23, were arrested in possession of two grams of MDMA. “They claimed to have purchased the drugs from a supplier, identified as Srikanth, of Neredmet, with the intention of selling them to needy customers,” the officials added.

Meanwhile, the State Task Force (STF) of the excise department seized 17.1 kg of marijuana from a man in Dhoolpet. Dinesh Singh, 42, was arrested from Machlipura in Lower Dhoolpet area. “He revealed that one Sompal Rao from Karnataka was supplying ganja in bulk to needy customers in Dhoolpet. He was trying to sell the same when he was arrested,” Excise officials said.
