McNally ready to bring Knoxville home – RAMP – Radio and Music Professionals

• We teased this news last week, and now, thanks to the miracle of an official press release, it’s official: Sean “Mac” McNally debuts today afternoon on Cumulus Country 107.7 WIVK/Knoxville, Tennessee. He dons the rather large boots of the market legend Ted “Gunner” Ousleywho retired last week after 30 years in the market, the last 25 at WIVK.

Jeff Jarnigan, Cumulus Knoxville OM, said, “It says a lot about Mac that Gunner, who dominated the PM Drive landscape here for many years, strongly endorsed Mac as his replacement. Gunner loves his audience and wanted to make sure he was in the best possible hands moving forward. Mac loves East Tennessee and I’m confident East Tennessee will love him back.

McNally began his radio career in 2008 in his hometown of Richmond, Indiana, and later served as morning host for Brewer Broadcasting Country. WPLZ (Cat Country)/Chattanooga, Tennessee until he moved to Classic Hits in late 2015. He joined WIVK to do evenings in May 2016.

WIVK PD Rich Bailey commented: “Mac and I have worked together since 2019. I have been impressed by his talent and work ethic over the past five years, and I look forward to working with Mac as he builds on the Gunner’s incredible success. »

McNally exclaimed, “I couldn’t be more excited and honored to take the afternoon reins at the legendary WIVK. It’s truly a dream come true for me to be a part of this iconic brand. And following a friend and a legend like Gunner on the station is a whole world. »
