GTA VI set to feature Cuba and Bahamas-inspired islands alongside Leonida’s main map | Gaming News

A new leak suggests that GTA VI will feature up to three islands in addition to the main Leonida state map, with two islands inspired by Cuba and the Bahamas. This matches previous leaks regarding the game’s map, which will be 30-50% larger than that of GTA V and will be more detailed and expanded over time.

A new Grand Theft Auto VI leak claims that Rockstar’s next game could feature up to three islands in addition to the main map of the State of Leonida. According to GTA 6 Countdown on X (formerly Twitter), two of these islands are inspired by Cuba and the Bahamas. According to the leak, the third “potential” island is still unknown.

This new leak follows on from a previous GTA 6 leak, which also revealed a lot more about the upcoming game’s map. Let’s take a detailed look at the previous leak.

Grand Theft Auto VI Map Details

According to early leaks, the fictional state of GTA 6 will be called Leonida. The map is said to be 30-50% larger than GTA 5’s, more detailed and accurate, and will expand over time. It will reportedly feature three islands, including one inspired by the Bahamas.

The map will include Miami, its surrounding areas and a few far-flung locations, with a parody of Fort Myers and a town inspired by Fort Knox. Players will be able to explore a bike path around Lake Leonida and enter 60% of the buildings, a total of at least 2,000. It is said that NPCs with AI can call the police if you enter without permission.

Additionally, hotels and motels can be rented. The cover system is more realistic and there will be no chainsaw weapon. Miami is said to be perfectly reproduced and features high-quality graphics.

Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6 will be released in fall 2025. The game will first release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, it will eventually release with a PC version, just like its predecessor. This game is highly anticipated due to the success of GTA 5 and the quality of Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2. The game will feature the series’ first female protagonist and offer two playable characters: Jason and Lucia.
