Health screenings will be offered Saturday at Pride in the Park event in Elkins

Elkins, W.Va. – Free and discounted health screenings will be offered at the June 29 Pride in the Park event at Elkins City Park.

“It is important to have accessible health care for everyone in our community,” said Dr. Catherine “Mindy” Chua, DO, MS, FAAFP, FNMN, CPE, FAAPL, chief medical officer of Davis Medical Center . “We are excited to host a variety of important screenings and are committed to inclusion, diversity and compassionate care for all. »

Screenings available at the event include:

  • Pap smears
  • STD tests
  • PreP Prescriptions
  • Wellness laboratories
  • Testing for HIV, syphilis and hepatitis C

Davis Medical Center, Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) Mobile Unit and the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program, among others, will offer testing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
