Prepare for Diablo 4 Season 5: PTR Highlights and Expansion Teasers – Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT)

Microsoft Corp. MSFT Blizzard has announced a second Public Test Area (PTR) for Diablo 4, focused on Season 5. This follows the first PTR in April, which featured a preview of Season 4.

The Season 5 PTR will be available from June 25 to July 2 for Battle.net PC players. Blizzard’s goal is to test updates and features before the official release of Season 5, using player feedback to make adjustments, balance changes, and fix bugs.

The PTR includes a new questline set after the main storyline, leading to the next expansion, Vessel of Hatred, launching on October 8, 2024. Blizzard tells a story with shifting alliances and the emergence of unexpected friends.

To trigger this questline, players must visit Hawezar at world level 3, which means they must have completed the campaign and defeated the Cathedral of Light cornerstone at world level 2.

Completing the new questline unlocks the Infernal Hordes game activity, featuring endless waves of increasingly powerful enemies. This wave-based rogue-lite activity allows players to earn Burning Aether to unlock powerful weapons and rewards.

Additionally, Season 5 introduces new legendary items, unique items, and items, as well as quality of life updates to endgame bosses. Although the official name of the season has not been revealed, Diablo 4 Season 5 is expected to launch on August 6.
