Emmi Brunner was the only Storm athlete to compete in Optional Competition 2 at the Silverthorne meet. Competing in the B division, Brunner earned fourth place for her vault program, third on beam, second on floor and first on bars. Brunner ultimately took second place in the all-around with a score of 29.1.

“We had a successful weekend. Our girls did well and the competition went well,” said Silverthorne Storm head coach Ben Way. “We received a lot of help in organizing this event. Coaches played overtime, parents volunteered their time and effort, and the City of Silverthorne staff stepped up in a big way to help. It was a full-fledged community effort.

The Silverthorne Storm will compete again on Friday, June 28, when it travels to Commerce City for the Commerce City Meet. The competition will take place at the Bison Ridge Recreation Center and is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
