Riot’s 5v5 tactical shooter VALORANT releases a new skinline pack for episode 9 inspired by their sister game League of Legends’ “Star Guardian” collection.

Founded in 2015, the Star Guardian skin line in League had several new skins for champions over the following years (2016, 2017, 2019) after the success of the skinline’s initial launch. Inspired by the theme of magical girls – namely anime such as Puella Magi Madoka Magica (2011) or Sailor Moon (1994), Star Guardian’s key visual components include purple/pink/blue/orange hues, stars, and cute familiars, especially with the introduction of Jinx. This skin line for VALORANThowever, is titled “Evori Dreamwings” and features a melee, Ghost, Odin, Spectre, and Vandal along with pink, green, and orange variants for each. The pack—which includes the gun skins, melee skin, a weapon buddy, and 5 player cards and titles—costs 9,900 Valorant Points (roughly $100 USD). Individually, each skin should cost around 2,475 VP, while the melee costs around 4,950 VP. The weapon buddies are worth 475 VP, while the player cards are worth 275 VP. Sprays can also be purchased for 325 VP.

Each color variant of the gun comes with its own pet (purple cat, pink bear, green rabbit, orange mouse) that can appear when inspecting the weapon. When near other allies equipped with an Evori skin, pets will swing back and forth. The gun buddy also sparkles upon inspection.

This skinline aesthetic follows the Mystbloom skinline, released earlier this year. The Mystbloom skin line is the first set of “pink” skins ever created. VALORANTwhich suggests Riot is exploring different aesthetic avenues for future skinlines.

The skin pack will be released on June 27th simultaneously on all available platforms.
