Vice President Kamala Harris talked about strategies to reduce sexual and other types of domestic violence during an interview on a popular podcast on Sunday, but accusations against her husband that surfaced last week did not never been mentioned.

On Sunday’s episode of “Call Her Daddy,” Harris, 59, passionately recalled how she began her career as a prosecutor, inspired to take on domestic abusers, but host Alex Cooper, 30, refused to press the thorny subject of her husband. allegedly punched an ex-girlfriend while drunk, avoiding the issue altogether.

“We need to talk about it. Child sexual abuse is a phenomenon that affects many more people than public discourse recognizes,” Harris said while emphasizing the need “not to stigmatize it.”

“Mistreatment of anyone is something we should all take seriously, instead of saying it’s none of our business. This is something we need to agree shouldn’t happen.

Harris has often demurred when asked about what limitations she would place on abortion, saying she would simply restore the policy first established in Roe v. Wade. Before the Dobbs v.
