How many episodes are there in Douglas Is Canceled?

The Douglas Is Canceled miniseries will air on Thursday June 27 at 9pm on ITV and will consist of four episodes in total.

The remaining three episodes will air each week in the same time slot, meaning the finale is expected to air on Thursday, July 11, barring any last-minute changes.

For those eager to see how this all plays out for Douglas, there is some good news. After the first episode airs on ITV on June 27, all four episodes will be available on its streaming service, ITVX.

This means fans can watch the comedy-drama at their leisure. The series was created by famous writer Steven Moffat, known for his work on Sherlock, Doctor Who and Dracula.

Although some might think it made headlines, iNews reports that Moffat actually wrote the story as a play five years before the media storms involving the BBC’s Huw Edwards and ITV’s Philip Schofield.

He shared with The Guardian: “It doesn’t matter what time period you tell this story in: there will be someone who has fallen from grace on television.”

The series is not only about the trendy theme of Cancel Culture; it also boasts an impressive cast.

Downton Abbey and Paddington’s Hugh Bonneville takes the lead as Douglas Bellowes.

Karen Gillan stars alongside her as Madeline, Douglas’ junior co-host with a deceptive streak.

The cast is rounded out by Intelligence’s Nick Mohammed, The Crown’s Ben Miles and ER alumnus Alex Kingston.
