Amused and touched by this gesture, Verhaeghe gave the man a wobbly smile as he handed him the chair.

He was picked up by a small Uber shortly after, flanked by his friends as he made his way to the car.

Fellow Panthers stars Josh Mahura, Nick Cousins and Ryan Lomberg were also seen leaving the venue as the night progressed.

Mahura and Cousins had announced it the night before, while Lomberg left around 4:30 a.m., after signing autographs and taking photos with fans.

The sleepless night and likely hangover that followed didn’t stop the team from continuing the celebrations, however, as the players were seen kicking the ball the next day on the beach in Fort Lauderdale.

Panthers stars Matthew Tkachuk, Aaron Ekbald and Sam Reinhart headed to the Elbo Room Beach Bar with their trophy Tuesday, surrounded by a giant flock of fans to get a glimpse of hockey’s ultimate prize.
