All is well at Silent Yachts, where the 180-strong workforce is fully engaged in delivering seven of its innovative Silent 62s before the end of the year.

  • The first Silent 62 3-Deck was launched in spring 2024
  • Seven more catamarans planned for 2024 (all Silent 62 3-Deck) and ten the following year (eight Silent 62 3-Deck and two Silent 80)
  • Only a few construction locations left for 2025
  • The Silent 80 model is expected to be completed next year
  • Two 3-deck Silent 62 catamarans will debut at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival

The shipyard in Fano, Italy, is operating at full capacity to fulfill orders, and the first – a beautiful three-deck version of the solar-powered catamaran – has just been handed over to its owner.

Putting a period of instability behind it, Silent Yachts is busier than ever under its new ownership. By the end of 2024, the shipyard will have delivered eight new 62s, with eight more on order for delivery in 2025. The first two Silent 80s should also be delivered next year, making 18 yachts in just two years. Despite rapid production, it is possible that two or three new build locations will become available in 2025, as Silent Yachts streamlines production.

“This is a truly exciting time for Silent Yachts,” says Fabrizio Iarrera, CEO of Silent Yachts. “We know from the volume of orders and interest shown at boat shows that the Silent 62 has captured the imagination of sustainability-minded boaters. We are equally proud of this yacht’s three remarkable options: a retractable flybridge, an open tri-deck and a truly very spacious tri-deck. We have received orders for all three variants. »

A double world first

As construction halls echo with the noise of the industry, Silent Yachts is also preparing for a busy year of boat shows. The Cannes Yachting Festival in September will be a key showcase for Silent Yachts, with the world premieres of the first Silent 62 3-Deck Open (which will also be on display at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2024) and the Silent 62 3-Deck Closed.

“We expect this boat to attract a lot of attention at the Cannes show,” continues Iarrera. “By fully opening the sides of the upper deck, this space becomes a luxurious addition to the interior layout. The far-sighted client behind this first example takes advantage of floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views to create an unparalleled master stateroom on the upper deck. »

Work also continues on the Silent 80. Representing a step forward in terms of space and possibilities, the yacht shares a strong resemblance to its smaller counterpart, and the solar-electric propulsion principle is equally compelling. It is also available in the same three variants: retractable flybridge, open third deck and enclosed third deck.

“We have focused on the 62-footers, but we hope to unveil the all-new Silent 80 at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2025,” concludes Iarrera. “Two 80-footers should be delivered by the end of 2025. In addition, we are working on a new model which will fit between the 62 and 80-footers in our range. We plan to present it soon, with its world premiere planned for 2026.”

In order to successfully meet all orders, Silent Yachts plans to continue expanding its Fano shipyard. By the end of 2024, the company aims to increase its workforce to 220 employees, and by mid-2025, this number will reach 270.
