Sherri Shepherd doled out the perfect amount of shade amid Kelly Rowland's dressing room drama

Mea culpa, Tyler Perry’s new legal thriller premiered today on Netflix, and last week there was some interesting but unnecessary drama at the film’s star Kelly Rowland’s press conference.

After Kelly was reportedly set to guest host with Hoda Kotb on TodayMultiple sources have claimed that she abruptly left the set after becoming unhappy with the dressing room setup. “Kelly left because she and her crew didn’t like her dressing room,” a source told People.

The rumor spread across the Internet and generated debate over whether Kelly was right or wrong to leave. Skinnygirl CEO and former Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel attempted to criticize Kelly’s actions while actors like Marlon Wayans stepped in to defend her character.

Fortunately, Kelly’s next step after Today was the “light, the positive energy” of Sherri, the comedian and actor’s daytime talk show.

Sherri Shepherd is a class act with a bit of sass on the side.

Kelly took her time on Sherri’s show to rise above the unnecessary drama and congratulate Sherri. “I know it’s your show, but I have to tell you,” Kelly said. “Thank you for being light and being a positive energy during this time. We needed you, and thank you very much for your light. »

But don’t let the “light and positive energy” of Sherri you are wrong. She is a talented actress and knows how to provide just the right amount of shade that deserves a round of applause.

One fan commented on an Instagram promo for Kelly’s episode, “I guess her dressing room was okay.” Sherri replied, “Oh we gave her a gorgeous room!❤. That’s Kelendria Rowland.”

And to double down on her efforts to show that she gave Kelly the treatment she deserved, Sherri shared a BTS video from the locker room.

“Is Kelly there?” Sherri asked excitedly before entering the room to hug the Grammy Award-winning singer.

Kelly was absolutely thrilled to be a part of Sherri’s show, and it changed any false narrative that has been stirred up by rumors and accusations about a small, old lodge on Today.
