Does Dexter ever get caught in “Dexter”?

Hiding in plain sight — the main protagonist of Right hand Dexter Morgan mastered serial murder and was not caught. But, did Dexter Morgan end up giving in to his dark desire too many times and ending up behind bars? In this article we will look at both Dexter And Dexter: New bloodwhich means spoilers for both series are coming.

Michael C. Hall delivered a masterclass as the Miami Metro Police Department’s blood spatter analyst across eight seasons of the show’s original iteration, as well as the 2021 season. New blood spin-off miniseries. With its chilling storytelling and on-screen executions of despicable criminals, Dexter became a worthy antihero from the franchise’s inception in 2006. Because of this, the drama of Dexter potentially being taken by his colleagues was extremely dramatic and gripping over its seven-year run.

But he survived all 96 episodes without being locked into the role of the “Bay Harbor Butcher.” Season 8 ended with Dexter faking his death and his obituary celebrating him as a respected member of the police department.

However, there were a few close fumbles. In Season 2, Sergeant James Doakes caught Dexter in the act, and for a second it seemed like the protagonist’s days as a murderous vigilante were over. But, thanks to punches and a crazy ex-girlfriend, Doakes was captured and killed while Dexter fought off the nickname.

Things came to a head in Season 7 when Captain Maria LaGuerta secretly reopened the case to clear her former partner’s name. Following a multitude of leads, LaGuerta eventually discovered that Dexter was the man wielding the knife. But before LaGuerta could arrest Dexter in a shipping container, Dexter’s sister, Lieutenant Debra Morgan, shot her boss.

So Dexter rode off into the sunset – well, actually, he drove his boat into a hurricane – to conclude the first series. But his past eventually caught up with him. New blood.

The series centered on Dexter and his son, Harrison Morgan, reconnecting in Iron Lake, New York, 10 years after the former’s presumed death. Harrison searched for Dexter, who was living in a small, murder-free town under the alias Jim Lindsay.

The 10 episodes led to Dexter’s ultimate ending, which returned to his bad habits and even involved Harrison, who had also shown dark tendencies. The finale reached a boiling point after Dexter’s girlfriend and police chief, Angela Bishop, connected evidence of the recent Iron Lake crimes to the Bay Harbor Butcher massacres. She accused her longtime boyfriend of being the infamous serial killer and ended up arresting Dexter.

She strengthened her case by calling Dexter’s old friend and colleague, Captain Angel Batista, who told her he would go to Iron Lake with LaGuerta’s file on the Bay Harbor Butcher. Although most of the evidence was circumstantial, it looked like Dexter was ultimately going to end up in the electric chair. But, before ending up in court, he escaped from police custody and was shot dead by Harrison.

As of now, we don’t know what happened to the Bay Harbour Butcher case after Dexter’s death. Was he officially linked to the Miami and Iron Lake serial murders? Perhaps we’ll find out more in a future spin-off.
