Recently, a rumor circulated on social media that Apple’s upcoming iOS 18 will introduce a new feature displaying “read from notifications” and “actually opened” times below text messages. The image illustrating this claim is widely shared on online platforms.

However, upon investigation, this is not the actual feature of iOS18.

Fact Check

The iOS 18 launch event introduced many revolutionary features that piqued the interest of Apple product enthusiasts, such as “Messages via Satellite” and the “Schedule Message with Send Later” feature. However, the “Read from notifications” and “Currently open” timestamps are not part of these new features. Check out all the new features in iOS18 here.

Furthermore, no reliable source reports such a feature.

Additionally, we used the reverse image search feature to find the source of the photo. While we were unable to locate its origin, we found that the same image has been shared on various meme accounts since 2016.
