Apple TV+ original series “Slow Horses,” a BAFTA-winning spy show, will return for its fourth season starting September 4.

The first two episodes will be released that day, followed by a new episode each week, every Wednesday until October 2. The series stars Academy Award winner Gary Oldman and is adapted from Ghost Streetthe fourth novel in Mick Herron’s CWA Gold Dagger Award-winning spy series, “Slough House.”

This dark comedy follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who work in an MI5 dump known unaffectionately as Slough House. Season 4 opens with a bomb attack that explodes personal secrets, shaking the already unstable foundations of Slough House.

Oldman plays Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but misanthropic leader of the spies, who end up at Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes as they frequently find themselves caught up in the smoke and mirrors of the spy world.

The returning cast also includes Oscar nominee Kristin Scott Thomas, BAFTA Scotland Award winner Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan and Oscar nominee Jonathan Pryce. SAG winner Hugo Weaving, BAFTA winner Joanna Scanlan, IFTA winner Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke and James Callis join Slow Horses in season four.

Since its first broadcast in 2022, “Slow Horses” has won two BAFTA Television Awards and earned nine additional nominations.
