Mines Athletics Announces Homecoming Tailgate and Silent Auction

GOLDEN, Colorado – As part of the Mines@150 celebration that will take place throughout the 2024 calendar year, Mines Athletics is proud to announce a new tailgating event that will take place before the homecoming football game on September 28.

As part of the Colorado School of Mines’ 150th anniversary commemoration, the event will be held at Steinhauer Fieldhouse from 11 a.m. until the Orediggers’ game against Black Hills State at 1 p.m. Guests are encouraged to show off their Mines spirit and rep their favorite game attire. With the purchase of a ticket, guests will enjoy unlimited food and drinks while enjoying live music, as well as a silent auction benefitting Mines Athletics with must-have items and large scale, as well as a bouncy castle, face painting and much more.

The deadline to RSVP and purchase tickets is September 20, and tickets must be purchased in advance.Tickets will not be available for sale on the day of the event. Parking will be available in the garage located at 14th and Maple streets.

Funds raised through the silent auction will allow all Mines coaches and student-athletes to continue to compete at a championship level. Silent auction items will include unique Mines Athletics apparel, gift certificates, trips, golf outings, sports memorabilia and more. Registration fees may be tax deductible and all proceeds will directly benefit Mines Athletics and our nearly 500 student-athletes.
