Anaheim Ducks’ Beckett Sennecke had the best reaction after being drafted

Some youngsters manage to keep their cool when they hear their name called in the NHL draft. Beckett Sennecke is not one of them.

The Anaheim Ducks selected Sennecke third overall in the 2024 NHL Draft on Friday.

No one was more surprised than the 18-year-old by Sennecke’s third-place finish. Sennecke reacted bluntly, standing up to take the stage.

” Oh my God. What is this mess ? ยป Sennecke seemed to whisper.



The official NHL.com draft had Sennecke going 10th overall to the New Jersey Devils, while Russian defenseman Anton Silayev was projected to go third to the Ducks. Sennecke and Silayev ended up trading spots as the latter fell all the way to 10th.


Sennecke was ranked the 13th best North American skater by NHL Central Scouting.

Sennecke is a 6’3″ right winger who has 68 points (27 goals and 41 assists) for the Oshawa Generals in 63 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) games. His 10 goals in 16 OHL playoff games are tied for fourth among all skaters.
