Jim Sarbh Breaks Silence On Video Snubbing Padmaavat’s Ranveer Singh, Praises Him In New Post

Jim Sarbh recently cleared rumours that his comments about some actors needing ‘mental therapy’ after playing specific roles were directed at Ranveer Singh. Jim and Ranveer starred together in ‘Padmaavat’, with Jim playing Malik Kafur and Ranveer playing Alauddin Khilji.

On Saturday, June 29, Jim posted a lengthy note on Instagram in which he wrote that none of the statements were aimed at Ranveer Singh. He wrote, “I don’t usually respond to speculative videos and articles because they are boring and I assume people know better than me. Of course, like some of you, I misunderstood. Too many people have forwarded things to me, and now journalists/interviewers are ‘tagging’ me as a ‘critic’, even though I have never mentioned anyone at all, let alone @ranveersingh (sic).”

The ‘Made in Heaven’ actor added, “I find it almost absurd that I have to clarify this, but since people are going wild with videos and articles: nothing I said refers to Ranveer Singh. The video clip shared is from the promotions of Made in Heaven season 2, 5 years after Padmaavat released. For 5 years, I had nothing but nice things to say about Ranveer as a co-actor – look him up. I still do (sic).”

Jim concluded the note with: “Also, this is not an attack on the process. I love the process and I love the actors. The video makes fun of actors who exaggerate their process. I’m sure you’ve all encountered people who talk about their work more than they do it. I can’t wait to read the next article or video pulling on my shoulder (sic). »

In the video circulating on the Internet, Jim is heard saying: “There are all these actors saying, ‘I was so stuck in my character that I had to go to mental therapy and stuff for weeks.’ Shut up man, you didn’t even know your lines that day, how stupid. »

People assumed that Jim was referring to Ranveer because after playing Alauddin Khilji, Ranveer said that he isolated himself, avoided social interactions and experienced feelings that he didn’t like. He had also said that he needed therapy after he finished playing the role of Khilji.
