Watford consider loan for Aston Villa defender

The club are keen to sign a left-back and are looking for several players, including Kenneth Paal from QPR.

Watford also have Aston Villa defender Sousa on their radar, who finished last season on loan at Plymouth Argyle.

The Hornets are considering a loan move for the 19-year-old.

That could appeal to Aston Villa, who signed Sousa from fellow Premier League club Arsenal in January this year.

Villa sent him straight on loan to Plymouth so he could play regular senior football to speed up his development.

Sousa finished the season with eight league appearances to his name, being booked once, against Preston North End.
