Man arrested after finding fentanyl and meth during traffic stop in Henderson County

HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said a man was arrested after suspected methamphetamines and fentanyl were discovered during a traffic stop Thursday.

28-year-old man wanted for involvement in organized crime in East Texas

On Thursday, around 3 p.m., a Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputy allegedly conducted a traffic stop on a white 2019 Dodge Challenger for an alleged traffic violation. A K9 deputy from the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office also participated in the stop, according to authorities.

Police dog Vinnie “sniffed the open air” and allegedly alerted officers to the presence of drugs. The Challenger was searched and suspected methamphetamines and fentanyl were found.

Aaron Chase Calvert, 28, of Mabank, was later arrested on two counts of manufacturing/delivering a controlled substance between four and 200 grams. He is being held in the Henderson County Jail on a total bond of $200,000.
