Sarah Ferguson ‘proposed I’m A Celebrity hundreds of times’

Sarah Ferguson has revealed she repeatedly turned down I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, saying “hundreds of times”. The Duchess, 64, shared with Platinum Magazine that despite her rejection from ITV show Jungle, she wants to join Netflix’s hit series Bridgerton.

She said: “I asked my agent to get me in Bridgerton! The sets are incredible!” Ferguson fantasized about a role, adding: “I could be a long-lost friend to Penelope (Featherington played by Nicola Coughlan). I absolutely have to be in Bridgerton!”

Turning down I’m a Celebrity, she explained: “I’ve been asked to continue I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! hundreds of times, and the answer is always no. I’m sure it is. It’s charming to a lot of people but not to me!” Would you like to see her on the show? Let us know in the comments.

Her stance comes despite royal ties to the show, noting that Mike Tindall, who is married to Princess Anne’s daughter Zara, took part in the 2022 edition. In the same interview, Ferguson opened up about her recent skin cancer diagnosis, following a battle with breast cancer the previous summer.

Speaking about her family’s support, she said: “The whole York family has rallied around me and I couldn’t have done it without them. My daughters in particular have been such a huge support. We always call ourselves The Tripod because we’re there to support each other through thick and thin, and they’ve certainly shown that over the last few months.”

Sarah, mother of Princess Eugenie, 34, and Princess Beatrice, 35, from her previous marriage to Prince Andrew, 64, has spoken candidly about her fear of skin cancer. She expressed her increased vigilance regarding her health: “I look at every piece of skin and I say to myself: ‘Ah! Is this melanoma? Is this something?’ »

She also shared her frustration with fleeting concerns: “Then you make an appointment with the dermatologist and by the time you get there, it’s gone.” The duchess’ revelations were part of an interview in which she also mentioned feeling “very proud” of King Charles, 75, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, for their openness about their own battles with cancer .
