When: First and third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m.

Where: City Hall Council Chambers: 736 F St., Arcata

• The July 3 city council meeting is canceled.

When: First Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m.

Where: 7351 Tompkins Hill Road, Eureka

• The council will review the objectives for 2023-2025.

• The board will consider awarding a contract to Woods Pest Control for pest control services on the Eureka and Del Norte campuses.

• The council will receive an update on emergency planning.

• The board will meet in closed session for an evaluation of the superintendent’s performance.

• The council will receive a presentation from the police chief on the commendations.

• The council will hold public hearings on increasing water and wastewater rates.

• The Board of Directors will mark the 100th anniversary of the Fortuna Garden Club.

• The council will consider reducing public office hours in many county departments to Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

• The council will consider adopting the workplace violence prevention plan.

• The council will consider another exception to the hiring freeze for the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.
