Man arrested after finding fentanyl and meth during traffic stop in Henderson County

HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said a man was arrested after suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl were found during a traffic stop Thursday.

On Thursday, around 3 p.m., a Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputy allegedly conducted a traffic stop on a white 2019 Dodge Challenger for a suspected traffic violation. A K9 deputy from the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the arrest, according to officials.


Police dog Vinnie “sniffed the air” and allegedly alerted officers to the presence of narcotics. The Challenger was searched and suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl were found.

Aaron Chase Calvert, 28 of Mabank, was subsequently arrested for two counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance between four and 200 grams. He is being held in the Henderson County Jail on a total bond of $200,000.
