Gemma Collins reveals ‘shocking’ fake tan mistake

Gemma Collins has shared her “shocking” fake tan mistake, saying it was “typical” of her.

The former The Only Way Is Essex and Celebrity Big Brother star took to Instagram on Monday to reveal the blunder, with the celebrity uploading a video to her story in which she detailed the crucial error she made that morning.

“Don’t even look at my face right now, I don’t know what I did,” she began (via Metro). “I think I went to put on some facial serum last night, and I put on a tanning serum. Terrible, terrible, terrible. This could only happen to me, my hands are pure white.

“Solutions for… look how bad it is. Isn’t it bad?” she continued, pointing out some of the differences in her tan shades. “It’s shocking. It’s typical of me, always in a hurry, not very well-groomed – but dinner was delicious.”

Collins, who left TOWIE in 2021, ruled out a return to the reality show last year, branding the recent series “terrible”, explaining: “I watched it the other night and I’ll never get those minutes of my life back.

“What happened? There were about two scenes. Chloe Brockett was good, and new girl Elma (Pazar), but the others were terrible. There are no stars there, honey – we were stars. Being in these toxic, arguing environments… It’s a load of bullshit.

The star, who also appeared in Diva and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, revealed earlier this year that her mother was on the mend after a period in intensive care, sharing: “My mother is Really sick at the minute. She’s in intensive care. It’s been a hell of a time…she’s on the mend, thank goodness.

“Last week I had the shock of my life when my mother stopped breathing. I called an ambulance and was told to prepare for the worst and would like to resuscitate her. It has been extremely difficult but she is stable now and I hope she will be much better soon. No day is promised so make every day count.
