Starbucks announces colorful cups for summer and improved order-ahead process

The coffee chain is launching new summer beverage items, mainly cold cups, available in stores from May 28

Starbucks is diving into summer with colorful new products.

The coffee chain is launching new drinkware for the scorching season with a playful range of new cups available in stores from May 28.

For starters, Starbucks will now offer the Peach Bling cold cup, adorned with “radiant peach studs,” according to a press release. The model comes in two sizes: 16 ounces ($23) and 24 ounces ($25).

For those looking for a more nature-filled cup, Starbucks has also unveiled the Flowers and Forest cold cup featuring a mushroom straw trim. Available only in a 24-ounce version ($25), the whimsical vessel is dotted with delicate colors and patterns.

The 24-ounce “translucent green” Canna Lily Butterfly Cold Cup ($25) has butterfly wing designs on the exterior and it comes with a butterfly straw topper.

The bright and cheerful mugs are complemented by the versatile Gradient Petal Mug ($20), designed with abstract blue and purple petals. This is the only option that can be used as a cold or hot cup.

Starbucks is giving fans even more fun drinkware as part of a new series of artist collaborations. The company has teamed up with queer artist Sofie Birkin, who created an inspiring collection that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community. From pride flags to rainbow colors, the three new cups are also available in stores starting May 28. One even comes with a rainbow straw!

In addition to its new fizzy drink cups, Starbucks announced improvements to the way online orders are tracked. According to a press release, the company “improved the way the estimated order preparation time is calculated in the Starbucks app when a customer uses the order-ahead feature.”

Starbucks says the hours are “more accurate than ever,” making it easier for customers to pick up their orders at their scheduled time. A PEOPLE staffer tested the process Tuesday morning and confirmed that the ETA is accurate.
