A Chinese wanted by the courts arrested in central Vietnam

Police in central Vietnam’s Quang Nam province joined forces with Ministry of Public Security forces to capture a Chinese man wanted by China’s Ministry of Public Security on Friday.

A provincial police officer said Sunday that the man was arrested while he was at a house in the area.

The provincial immigration management division worked with the ministry’s criminal police department and police from Dien Ngoc district of Dien Ban city examined a house on Friday evening and found Fan Chao, 39, residing in the house. residence.

Fan Chao had previously been charged with economic and environmental crimes in China.

He was placed on China’s list of fugitives.

Furthermore, after checking his passport, the police discovered that his temporary stay in Vietnam had expired.

The Vietnamese side is trying to extradite the fugitive to the Chinese Ministry of Public Security.
