Chris Pratt Says He’s Open to Entering the DC Universe If “It Made Sense”

Los Angeles, June 30 (PTI) Days after visiting “Guardians of the Galaxy” director and new DCU co-director James Gunn on the sets of the upcoming “Superman” film, actor Chris Pratt said he would love to be a part of the franchise, but there were some conditions.

The actor, who played the role of Peter Quill/Star Lord in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” trilogy under the DCU rival Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), said the opportunity should fit into your schedule and make sense.

When asked if he would like to join the DC franchise, now led by Gunn and Peter Safran, Pratt told TMZ: “Yes, of course.”

“If it could fit into my schedule and it made sense, I would love it.” Of course, I love playing Star-Lord and I hope there’s a chance it comes back. I feel so lucky to be able to do all of this, to be considered for all of this. If it’s true and the fans love it, I’d be more than happy to do it,” he added.

Earlier this month, the 45-year-old visited the sets of Gunn’s upcoming film “Superman” and the filmmaker shared the photo on social media, captioning it: “Always nice to have friends visit the set.”

In the interview, Pratt also said there was “always a chance” he would make the jump to the franchise.

Asked which character he would like to play, he said: “I’ll just have to let the fans and people like James decide. I’m not exactly sure. I’m really not sure.”

Starring David Corenswet in the title role, alongside Nicholas Hoult, Anthony Carrigan, Isabela Merced and Nathan Fillion, “Superman” is scheduled for release in July 2025.
