Major General Prasanna Joshi, 56, does 25 pull-ups without a break. The internet is inspired

A video of Indian Army Major General Prasanna Joshi has gone viral on X, showing the 56-year-old performing 25 pull-ups without a break.

The video, shared by Lt Col JS Sodhi (retd) on X, shows Maj Gen Joshi, wearing his uniform, walking towards a pull-up station in a gym. He then performed all 25 repetitions of the exercise without breaking a sweat. The young army personnel present in the gym could not help but applaud the veteran.

“Hail and respect to the fitness of Major General Prasanna Joshi of the Indian Army. No wonder the Indian Army was ranked as the best fighting force in the world by the German publication Statista in October 2022. Proud of the Indian Army. Jai Hind,” Lt Col JS Sodhi said in his X post.

“Major General Prasanna Joshi… What a fit 56 year old,” another user said.

Vinod Kumar, an Indian Air Force veteran, said he felt like hitting the gym after watching the video.

“One more reason why the Indian Army is ranked among the best combat formations in the world. Major General Prasanna Joshi…I am ashamed and heading to the gym now,” Kumar said in a message.

Another user, Rahul Thapa, said, “Major General Prasanna Joshi’s fitness reflects the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to excellence. We salute his dedication and service to the nation. »

Pull-ups are considered one of the most difficult strength training exercises because they require significant upper body and core strength. Additionally, pull-ups require you to lift your entire body weight through a full range of motion, which is a challenge for many.
