STAATSBURG, NY — A tour titled “A Closer Look: A Curator-Guided Exploration of the Hidden and Hard-to-See” will be offered for three selected days in July at the Staatsburgh State Historic Site, according to an announcement.

Curator Maria Reynolds will lead the tour, which will focus on the historic site’s French styles, objects, furniture and architecture. The announcement adds that participants will be able to view a selection of artifacts from the collections’ storage that are not typically on public display.

The historic site, located at 75 Mills Mansion Drive, was once the home of socialite Ruth Livingston Mills and her husband, financier Ogden Mills. The 79-room mansion located on the banks of the Hudson River provides a glimpse into the lives of the wealthy elite of the early 20th century.

Tours will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, Sunday, July 14, and Saturday, July 20. Admission is $12 for the general public and $10 for seniors and students. Children 12 and under are free. To reserve a spot, visit bookeo.com/staatsburghshs.
