Among all the incredible surprises that took place at Glastonbury throughout the weekend, there was one truly special guest who left viewers “in tears”.

While Dua Lipa was joined on the Pyramid Stage by Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker on Friday (June 28), Coldplay followed up the following night by bringing out the likes of Little Simz for their headlining set.

And then, for a never-before-seen rendition of some of their hits, the British group brought out the one and only Michael J. Fox.

The legendary 63-year-old, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the age of just 29 in 1991, joined the band on stage in a wheelchair.

Well known for his portrayal of Marty McFly in the iconic film franchise, Fox accompanied Coldplay for their guitar-driven tracks “Humankind” and the moving “Fix You.”

And BBC viewers said they were “hooting” at the performance as the “legend” had “his moment” at the festival.

It turns out that Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and his son Moses are huge fans of the legendary film and have already invited Fox to perform with the band.

He joined them in 2016 when the Briton explained Back to the future is their “favorite movie of all time”.

And on Saturday, during the typically emotional “Fix You,” they changed the lyrics to include a bit of “Johnny B. Goode” — that Chuck Berry tune that McFly, of course, plays in the film.
