From the Tom DeLonge-inspired Starcaster Deluxe to its first Thinline Tele and a rare Jaguar appearance, Squier’s affordable Affinity series just got a major new expansion

Today (July 1) Fender is celebrating its traditional summer spree of new models. Leading the way, Squier has added five new models to its wildly popular Affinity line, including the production debut of Fender’s classic Telecaster Thinline and Jaguar models, as well as a new Tom Delonge-inspired take on the Starcaster, all priced under $300.

The Affinity Series is Fender’s second most affordable tier of guitar and bass construction, after the budget-friendly Bullet line. However, as we explained recently, the variety of budget building options has expanded significantly in recent years.
