Bodies Found Near Rest Area + Dramatic Rescue at Disneyland + Heatwave

LOS ANGELES, CA — As we head into the new week, we’ve rounded up the stories you might have missed from Saturday and Sunday to get you ready for Monday.

Sweltering heat continues in the Southland, with highs in the 80s and 90s expected across the region. Farther inland, temperatures could reach as high as 110 degrees, prompting an excessive heat watch throughout the week for much of the Southland. The heat already sparked several wildfires over the weekend, including a 344-acre grass fire in Riverside County, a fire near Woolsey Canyon and a 22-acre fire near Castaic. A fire at a commercial building in Glendale also spread to other buildings, prompting evacuations.
