On December 26, 2022, county police officers observed Hennings walking on Lookaway Drive in Glasgow Village and took him into custody. Hennings was found to be in possession of a .380 caliber pistol, a baggie containing methamphetamine, and another baggie containing a mixture of cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl.

Hennings pleaded guilty in March 2024 to two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon.

A U.S. District Court judge sentenced Hennings to 100 months in federal prison.
