Conor Maynard breaks online silence after being named father of Traitors star’s baby

Singer Conor Maynard has finally broken his silence on social media after Traitors star Charlotte Chilton publicly named him as the father of her unborn baby.

The 31-year-old music artist first met Charlotte and briefly dated her after meeting at a nightclub on the night the hit BBC show’s finale aired. And since Charlotte made the revelation, he’s been keeping a low profile – until now. However, instead of responding to reports that he’s set to become a father for the first time with the reality star, he posted a message about his upcoming single.

He teased fans by writing: “I guess I can finally tell you… July 5th.” But that clearly didn’t sit well with his followers who demanded to know when he would open up about being a father. Taking to social media in response to his backhanded post, one person wrote: “But when are you going to address the fact that you’re a baby daddy????” Another person said: “I’d address the baby thing first Connor.”

Earlier this month, Charlotte, who appeared on the second season of Claudia Winkleman’s show, confirmed that she was expecting her first child and that Conor was the father. Unfortunately for Charlotte, she was forced to face the reality that she will be a single mother, as the singer reportedly told her he wasn’t ready to become a father.

In an interview with metro.co.uk, she defiantly said: “I’m doing this on my own. I don’t need him. I don’t need his money. I would just want him to be involved if he wanted to be.” When Charlotte first informed the star, he seemed more receptive to the news until, she says, she started discussing the topic of co-parenting.

The pregnant reality star told the publication: “As soon as I started talking to him about co-parenting and understanding his work schedule, he was obviously a little disappointed that I was doing that.” An excited Charlotte began sending him pictures from her 12-week scan.

She continued: “I sent a message saying ‘Feel free to respond when you’re ready’ because I was annoyed at the time. I’m ready to do this alone, but I’m not ready for my daughter to grow up and not be able to tell or hide who her father, or should I say, her biological father, is. She deserves to know where she comes from. I’m not a secret, she’s not a dirty secret. I will not be silenced. I stand up for myself, regardless of whether it’s mine. I can’t do this anymore, shut up and shut up. »

She also fears that her close friend and former on-screen partner Harry Clark, who won the show, has sided with Conor, as he too has not responded to her messages. Harry is dating Conor’s sister, Anna. She told The Sun: “I thought Harry decided what Conor was doing was appropriate – guys, supporting guys.
