Khalid Announces New Album “Sincere” and Shares Release Date

R&B singer-songwriter Khalid will release his third studio album, SincereAugust 2 via Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records.

On Instagram, the musician called the album a “return to form”, adding: “I’m so happy to finally be back! I can’t wait to do it again. »

He expanded a little further in a press release, describing Sincere as a “combination of life experiences”.

“It’s inspired by conversations I’ve had with my fans, supporters, and people who love me. When I listen to this project, I hear a sound that is so unique and represents me at my best. This album is me at 26, continuing to evolve with the knowledge I’ve gained over the years.

The album announcement comes a few weeks after Khalid released the Digi and Justin Lucas-produced single “Adore U.” Earlier this year, Khalid released another single, “Please Don’t Fall in Love With Me.” Both titles will appear on Sincerealthough the rest of the track listing has yet to be revealed.

Tendency

Sincere will arrive five years after Khalid’s second album, released in 2019. Free spirit. The musician first announced a third LP in July 2021 under the name Everything is changing. But even though that album never happened, Khalid released a mixtape, Scenic routeLater that year and throughout 2022 and 2023, he shared a steady stream of singles, including “Satellite”, “Skyline”, “Softest Touch”, “Wish You Were Here” (featuring Lukas Graham) and “Not Alone” featuring Joe Jonas.

In an interview with Apple Music 1’s Eddie Francis last year, following the release of “Softest Touch,” Khalid explained his strategy of releasing singles while continuing to work on his new album. “I wanted to release the songs that I feel are going to make the album and keep the ones that I know for a fact are going to make the album just in this room until I feel like the time is right,” he said. “I’ve been working on music for three years because I really want to be extremely specific in the sound that I put out to the world when it comes to my album.”
