Hailey Welch, the viral Hawk Tuah girl who united the United States with her spitting act, has now revealed that she was offered $600 to spit in a jar. “It’s disgusting. It’s just disgusting. Isn’t it?” said the Hawk Tuah girl, appearing on a podcast for the first time after going viral on June 11. Hailey also clarified that she’s not on social media and that the viral video had nothing to do with it — she left before that for personal reasons. But she could be back, as she said “we’re working on it” about her potential return to social media.

Hailey Welch revealed that the video that made her go viral was filmed on Sunday and she watched it go viral on Tuesday.

Neither she’s a teacher, nor a bartender, nor her father is a preacher, Hailey Welch has dismantled all the fake news that has been swirling about her.

“I don’t want to be known as the Hawk Tuah girl”
Hailey said that while a search was underway for the viral girl Hawk Tuah, a big part of her didn’t want to be known as the girl. It was scary that her friends were being found and that many people were claiming to be her, she said.

“My parents thought it was funny.”
Daughter Hawk Tuah said her parents found it funny because they knew anything could come out of her mouth. But now she regularly receives scary messages, Hailey revealed. The person who made her the Hawk Tuah merchandise received an offer to sell her saliva in a jar, she said.

Now that Hawk Tuah’s daughter has a team and management due to her growing fame, Hailey said she doesn’t want Hawk Tuah to be her image.
