Former Man Utd flop to be offered stunning return to Premier League as his old club joins rival pair in pursuit of him

Wilfried Zaha could return to the Premier League just a year after his departure as Galatasaray want to get rid of him and one of his former clubs wants to sign the striker.

The striker has spent most of his career at Crystal Palace. In two spells at Selhurst Park, Zaha made 458 appearances.

In the Premier League, no player has scored more goals for the Eagles than his 68.

His penultimate season was his most successful in the English top flight – Zaha scored 14 Premier League goals.

But two seasons later he decided to leave his long-time employer to join Turkish side Galatasaray.

He scored nine league goals and assisted three more, and a return to England just a season after his departure could be on the cards.

Zaha has been linked with West Ham, although it is suggested he does not want to make this gesture.

That said, he may be forced to move somewhere in England, following the latest report on his situation.

Galatasaray wants Zaha to leave

Indeed, it is suggested that even though Zaha has performed well for Galatasaray, they are prepared to let him leave.

And they will accept a “nominal fee” for his services in order to get his contract canceled.

It is one of the biggest at the club, and they need to reduce their wage bill, it is said.

However, it has also been suggested that he could be paid, which seems counterintuitive.

If he wants to continue, he will likely have to take a pay cut given his large contract.

Crystal Palace among contenders

And it seems that three Premier League teams are interested in bringing Zaha back to England.

West Ham, who have been interested in the club for some time, remain in the race and the winger may be more amenable to a move there given that he could be moved now. Wolves are also interested in him.

Just like his old Palace side. Zaha left after the club finished 11th in the league, and although they only moved up one place last season, new boss Oliver Glasner looks capable of achieving big things.

With the Ivorian returning to Selhurst Park, the future could be even brighter.
