Get ready for TechExpo24 | Lightwave

SCTE will host TechExpo24 in Atlanta, Georgia, September 24-26, 2024, at the Georgia World Congress Center.

The conference will officially begin Tuesday morning, with SCTE President and CEO Maria Popo on the main stage.

Popo said in a press release: “TechExpo will provide an unprecedented opportunity to interact with CEOs, CTOs and industry decision-makers and learn about emerging technologies and applications that will transform the industry.”

SCTE reports that AI is a frequent topic of discussion, panel discussions, and conference agendas, and that a new AI zone will debut. There will also be a new non-traditional floor plan that organizers say maximizes visibility and opportunities.

The other headliners who will join Popo on stage on Tuesday:

  • Balan Nair, President and CEO of Liberty Latin America
  • Phil McKinney, President and CEO of CableLabs
  • Julie Laulis, Chair, President and CEO of Cable One
  • Ken Johnson, Cable One’s Chief Operating Officer
  • Mark Greatrex, President of Cox Communications
  • Nicole Scoble-Williams, Partner and Global Future of Work Leader at Deloitte

Some selected Tuesday sessions also include

On Wednesday, a CTO Town Hall will take place on the main stage featuring Charlie Herrin, president of technology, products and experience at Comcast, Len Barlik, executive vice president and chief technology officer at Cox Communications, and Justin Colwell, executive vice president of connectivity technology at Charter Communications.

Wednesday will also feature a strategy director panel, with additional headliners to be announced. Other select sessions Wednesday include:

Tuesday and Wednesday, Expo Happy Hours will also take place on the expo floor from 5 to 6 p.m., where free beer, wine and soft drinks will be served. SCTE organizers report that the floor is currently over 80 percent occupied, with 235 businesses confirmed.

The conference will conclude on Thursday with the SCTE International Cable-Tec Games Awards and Prize Giving. Here are some of the selected sessions on Thursday:
