Barclays Announces Major Share Buyback and Cancellation

Barclays (EN:BARC) released an update.

Barclays PLC has announced the repurchase and subsequent cancellation of 4.29 million of its own shares, at a volume weighted average price of 210.1387p, under its share buyback programme launched earlier this year. Following the cancellation, the company’s issued share capital will amount to 14.816 billion shares. Since the start of the share buyback programme on 21 February 2024, a total of almost 399 million shares have been repurchased.
