Drugs disguised as Taco Bell burritos discovered during Tennessee traffic stop

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — A wanted woman has been arrested after police discovered illegal drugs hidden in Taco Bell wrappers and tortillas during a traffic stop in Tennessee last week.

The Mt. Juliet Police Department said in a statement released to X that officers stopped a vehicle with a suspended license on Interstate 40 on Friday, June 28.

During the stop, officers seized methamphetamine, LSD, THC and candy, pills and marijuana laced with fentanyl. Mt. Juliet police released images of the drugs packaged like burritos.

“This is no ordinary Taco Bell order,” the department wrote.

An unidentified 37-year-old Nashville woman wanted in three counties was arrested during the stop, police said.

His charges included failure to appear in Sumner County Court, drug possession in Rutherford County and failure to appear in Wilson County Court.

“Thanks to our diligent team, these dangerous drugs have been removed from circulation and this wanted individual is now behind bars,” the department said.
