Inspired Home and Décor opens in Brighton

BRIGHTON — A store opening soon in Brighton aims to make homes more beautiful.

Inspired Décor and More will host a grand opening event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 13 at 6111 Grand River Ave. The boutique sells home decor and clothing, according to owner Gina Jurries, as well as a space for children’s birthday parties and classes on Saturdays.

Jurries and her daughter, Kasey Kasprzak, purchased the building in 2016 and operated Beeyond Treasures until 2019, when they sold the business. Beeyond Treasures is now located at Tanger Outlets in Howell.

After Beeyond Treasures’ lease ended, Jurries decided to open Inspired Décor and More. Kasprzak now owns Tanner’s Trove, which will be a vendor at Inspired.

“We’ve always had a passion for interior design,” Jurries said. “Over the last five years, we’ve really missed it.”

Five local vendors will sell items in the store, said Jurries, who also offers an interior decorating service.

Jurries said she spent the last month setting up the store.

“It’s been a long process,” she said.

The judges are encouraging residents to follow “Inspired Décor & More” on Facebook, a page that has gained hundreds of followers in the past week.

“We’ve had great feedback (from the community),” Jurries said.

The store will be open from 11am to 5pm Wednesday through Thursday, 11am to 6pm Friday, 11am to 5pm Saturday and 12pm to 4pm Sunday.
