Samantha Irvin, engaged to Ricochet, shares heartfelt message as contract expires | WWE News

Ricochet has been in the news recently after his contract with WWE expired. Samantha Irvin took the opportunity to share a heartfelt message on social media. It was previously reported that his contract was about to expire as The One and Only did not want to renew his deal with the promotion. Now that he is a free agent, he is expected to sign a contract with Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling. This comes as a shock as he rose to fame by becoming the first wrestler to win all three of WWE’s major secondary titles: the United State Championship, the Intercontinental Championship, and the NXT North American Championship.

In light of this, Samantha Irvin, who is engaged to Ricochet, shared a recent photo of him on her Instagram Story and wrote, “My everything.” Irvin is an announcer and will continue to work with WWE. The WWE star and Irvin announced their relationship in November 2021. Since then, they have gone public with their relationship with several social media posts over the years. The WWE star also made his affection public when he shared a photo to commemorate their first date at the Grand Canyon and wrote, “It’s been a year (since) we got together at the Grand Canyon! This is truly the best year I could have asked for. You have helped me grow more than anyone, been there for me more than anyone, and loved me better than anyone. I’ve been truly blessed to have someone like you as my life partner! Love you @samanthairvinwwe,”

They also announced their engagement on Instagram via a collaborative post, where Ricochet wrote, “She said YES! When you find that one. The one person you could never imagine life without when you close your eyes… you keep them close to your heart. Now we are closer than ever. @samanthairvinwwe I love you so much.”

Will Ospreay shared in an interview that he hopes things work out for Ricochet

Since Ricochet became a free agent, Will Ospreay has had nothing but praise for the former WWE star. In an interview with SHAK Wrestling, he said: “Honestly, I’ve said this to a lot of people recently. I’ve been shouting his name out for years and I mean years. And it’s only now, just because his contract is up, that people think something’s going to happen. Look, I talk to Ricochet every now and then. There’s been nothing between us to know if anything’s going to happen, but honestly, I hope it does.”

Ricochet signed with WWE at the age of 35 and became a popular name with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Lucha Underground, and other companies. He was later called up to the main roster in 2019.
