HALTOM CITY, Texas – Investigators have a man behind bars in Montgomery County for allegedly meeting a woman for the sole purpose of sexually assaulting her 13-year-old daughter.

SUGGESTED: Man arrested for using artificial intelligence to undress teenage girl in Montgomery County

According to the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office, an investigation was opened last June into Scott Jacob Baldwin, 33. During the investigation, investigators learned that Baldwin planned to meet an unidentified woman in The Woodlands. However, detectives said Baldwin and the woman had set up a plan to meet in person “for the sole purpose of sexually assaulting” the woman’s 13-year-old daughter.

It was later revealed (in discussions with the woman) that Baldwin “detailed his sexual interest in children and recounted prior sexual contact he had with other victims in the Tarrant County area.”

Investigators looked into Baldwin’s background and found prior allegations of sexual assault in Tarrant County that corroborated his story. An arrest warrant was filed and Baldwin was booked June 26 at the Montgomery County Jail, where he is being held on $100,000 bail.
