Euro 2024: England fan caught on TV snorting substance prompts police call | UK News

Police are seeking information after an England fan was caught on television snorting a substance while celebrating the Three Lions’ late Euro 2024 win.

The bearded fan’s pictures at an outdoor event in Newcastle upon Tynewho broadcast the match who saw England come from behind beat Slovakia 2-1is being investigated by Northumbria Police.

Who else could England face at Euro 2024?

Surrounded by a cheering, dancing crowd in Times Square, the black-clad man can be seen in the clip, shared on social media, inserting a substance into one nostril while holding the other closed.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “We have been made aware of images circulating on social media showing a man appearing to take a substance while in Times Square in Newcastle (Sunday) evening.”

They added that investigations were ongoing and asked anyone with information to contact them.
