A wheel of a Lufthansa A380 from Munich caught fire during landing

Lufthansa flight #LH762 from Munich experienced a wheel fire on landing in New Delhi.

A Lufthansa flight experienced an undercarriage fire after arriving at its parking stand at New Delhi Airport.

Flight #LH762 departed Munich, Germany for a 7-hour flight to New Delhi on Monday, July 1, 2024 carrying around 490 passengers.

A wheel of a Lufthansa A380 caught fire during the landing process at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).

Fire trucks rushed to the Airbus A380 (registration D-AIMC) after it arrived at its parking stand.

Since the plane had to undergo checks and spare parts were not immediately available, the return flight to Munich was cancelled.

Lufthansa spokesperson said the aircraft D-AIMC is scheduled to operate flight #LH763 to Munich on July 3.
