Sunday Rose was born to her parents Nicole Kidman and country singer Keith Urban on July 7, 2008, in Nashville, according to People. Although Kidman is Australian, she previously told People that her children have embraced their Nashville roots — and even have a bit of their mother’s accent. “My girls are Nashville girls! They have a Southern accent,” she told the publication in 2016. “They have a little Australian“They have an unusual mix. They are hybrids.”

What is the inspiration behind the name Sunday Rose Kidman Urban?

The name Sunday Rose is unique, and many fans want to know its meaning. According to Reuters, Kidman’s father, Antony, told the media that the name was inspired by prominent Australian art patron Sunday Reed, and that he was the one who suggested it to the actress.

“I read a few articles about Sunday Reed and her husband John. She was a major figure in the arts world at the turn of the century. The name Sunday struck me as a lovely name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it,” he told The Daily Telegraph in 2008.

It looks like Sunday is set to follow in her mother’s footsteps in the future, with Kidman having said she wanted to become a director in a 2018 interview.

“The stories that women tell and the way that we tell them creates opportunities not just for our generation, but for generations to come,” Kidman told Naomi Watts in an interview for Time magazine, which ranked the 100 most influential people in the world. “And I’m raising a little girl who’s showing an interest in directing right now,” she added. “I want her to have a path to that.”

THE Big Little Lies The actress also spoke about Sunday’s acting skills at the 2017 Palm Springs International Film Festival. “My daughter just got cast in her school play,” she told E! News at the event. “So that’s been the main focus, learning the lines with her.”
